Big tech or tiny brains?
The issue with social media is the same as the issue with the capitals metal detector. Republicans think they don't have to follow the rules. Every kid who goes to high school passes through the same kind of metal detector as the one installed at the Capitol after January 6th.
The treasonous toddler's of the GOP can't follow the rules and went around the metal detector. Your kids do it daily.
It's really not surprising. These are the same snowflakes that think wearing a mask is loss of their freedoms. On January 6th none of them pulled a firearm to protect their fellow legislators.
Nancy Pelosi is proposing new rules that circumventing the metal detector will create ever-increasing fines that come out of the legislators salary.
Let's jump ahead to everyone crying about censorship and loss of First Amendment rights on social media.
First of all the First Amendment refers to government censorship not Private Industry. If you don't understand the difference between government censorship and private social medias terms of service you are too stupid to be in government. Your misunderstanding of the first amendment should disqualify you from being on the house floor let alone the senate or presidency.
The president when he cries censorship is really being ridiculous. He broke the rules and was treated leniently for 4 years because he was the president. Twitter finally had enough of his breaking the rules and banned his ass permanently.
Did a government agency silence the president? No. Then it's not even a First Amendment issue. Trump is the least censored person on the planet. If you are on the corner up on a soapbox rallying about the dangers of communism and the police haul you away, that might be considered loss of freedom of speech.
When you have a press room available 24/7 with all of the major media outlets waiting for your every word-you're not being censored. You're just a p**** that doesn't like answering questions after you spew your b*******. Your first amendment is definitely intact. Moving on...
When you signed up for Twitter you checked a little checkbox for terms of service which is basically a contract. Most people forget about it. Some people are known for breaking every contract they sign. (Looking at you Trump)
When you got kicked off of Twitter you were not being censored, you were in breach of contract. You couldn't follow the rules so you got banned.
Republicans think they are above the law, they are above the rules, they are annoyed when they're not allowed to spew medical misinformation, or electoral information, hate speech, lies or whatever. Social media platforms may ban you even if they just think you have violated the TOs. I know.
I got banned from Twitter. Probably permanently. I called Dana Loesch a bimbo. (Needs fact check)
I think permanent suspension is kind of harsh. But hey Twitter feels I violated terms of service. I'm not going to cry about my first amendment rights being violated because I know the difference and I'm not an idiot. Still- permanent suspension seems harsh- it's not like I incited a riot or insurrection.
Whether it's a contract, local law, social media terms of service, or a metal detector like the one in your local courthouse, Republican snowflakes can't or won't follow simple rules.
Like taxes, rules are for the little people like you. Do you think a guy who cheats on his taxes is going to follow Twitter's TOs? Do you think legislators who gave terrorists a tour of the capitol or opened the door for them are going to follow the metal detector rules? Those rules are for suckers and that's what Republicans think you are.
Republicans, the giant capitalists that want to deregulate every Big Industry suddenly have a problem with big technology because they can't follow the rules. So now let's regulate big Tech because of our tiny brains.
Republicans are f****** hypocrites.
Coal companies can pollute thanks to deregulation but Twitter cannot keep you from spreading medical misinformation.
Republicans are only for regulations when it benefits them. If they weren't getting shut down for being morons, they would be saying let the industry regulate itself. You know it's true. Next..
Let's be clear, Republicans are not being censored for being conservative, there are forfeiting their right to use a private service because they are being idiots.
So you couldn't follow the rules at Twitter, what's a traitorous piece of s*** to do? For a while there was parler, a cesspool of treasonous snowflakes and nut jobs plotting to overthrow the government. Google and Apple and even Amazon decided to drop this hot potato. Nazi Republicans went cuckoo: Censorship! My First Amendment rights! We're becoming just like China! Sigh.
Once again you're too stupid understand the difference between a business and the First Amendment.
Take a civics class.
Please. It's embarrassing.
A private business can actually do business or not do business with anybody they feel like. (Discrimination laws may or may not apply)
Imagine, Google is a bakery and parler is a gay couple that wants a wedding cake.
(This metaphor gives me great pleasure)
We're not doing business with you because we don't agree with your lifestyle.
I got to tell you: for a group that keeps insisting they're protecting the Constitution, they never seem to know jackshit about it. Do not get me started, we will get to 2A in a future post...
In conclusion: no one is above the law.
No one is above the rules.
If you can't follow the rules be prepared for the consequences, don't cry like a little b****.
If you go where there are no rules don't be surprised if it's a s*** hole.
Republicans are full of s*** and hypocritical assholes.
The people who cry the most about the Constitution are the ones who have never read it and are trying to destroy it.
