Job's reply

This post is a personal one. I certainly can't claim to be as righteous as Job. But since my bank account is currently at -$73, facing homelessness and I have broken out in all kinds of sores and boils, I can really relate to Job. I can't find a job but I can always look up Job. I AM NOT BEING NEGATIVE, ONLY REALISTIC!!

Job 16:1 - 17:16
1 Then Job replied: 2 "I have heard many things like these; miserable comforters are you all!
3 Will your long-winded speeches never end? What ails you that you keep on arguing?
4 I also could speak like you, if you were in my place; I could make fine speeches against you and shake my head at you. 5 But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief. 6 "Yet if I speak, my pain is not relieved; and if I refrain, it does not go away.
7 Surely, O God, you have worn me out; you have devastated my entire household.
8 You have bound me—and it has become a witness; my gauntness rises up and testifies against me. 9 God assails me and tears me in his anger and gnashes his teeth at me; my opponent fastens on me his piercing eyes.
10 Men open their mouths to jeer at me; they strike my cheek in scorn and unite together against me.
11 God has turned me over to evil men and thrown me into the clutches of the wicked.
12 All was well with me, but he shattered me; he seized me by the neck and crushed me. He has made me his target; 13 his archers surround me. Without pity, he pierces my kidneys and spills my gall on the ground. 14 Again and again he bursts upon me; he rushes at me like a warrior.
15 "I have sewed sackcloth over my skin and buried my brow in the dust.
16 My face is red with weeping, deep shadows ring my eyes;
17 yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure.
18 "O earth, do not cover my blood; may my cry never be laid to rest!
19 Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high.
20 My intercessor is my friend [a] as my eyes pour out tears to God;
21 on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend.

22 "Only a few years will pass before I go on the journey of no return.
17:1 My spirit is broken, my days are cut short, the grave awaits me.
2 Surely mockers surround me; my eyes must dwell on their hostility.
3 "Give me, O God, the pledge you demand. Who else will put up security for me?
4 You have closed their minds to understanding; therefore you will not let them triumph.
5 If a man denounces his friends for reward, the eyes of his children will fail.
6 "God has made me a byword to everyone, a man in whose face people spit.
7 My eyes have grown dim with grief; my whole frame is but a shadow.
8 Upright men are appalled at this; the innocent are aroused against the ungodly.
9 Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger.
10 "But come on, all of you, try again! I will not find a wise man among you.
11 My days have passed, my plans are shattered, and so are the desires of my heart.
12 These men turn night into day; in the face of darkness they say, 'Light is near.'
13 If the only home I hope for is the grave, [a] if I spread out my bed in darkness,
14 if I say to corruption, 'You are my father,' and to the worm, 'My mother' or 'My sister,'
15 where then is my hope? Who can see any hope for me?
16 Will it go down to the gates of death [b] ? Will we descend together into the dust?"

I promise my next post will be more upbeat, but I needed to vent a little despair and depression.

Les Paul - R.I.P. (June 9, 1915 - August 13, 2009)

In addition to his contributions to Gibson's most famous Guitar I'll always remember Les for inventing the first multi-track recording system.

Why does Fox news use only Rasmussen polls??

I noticed that on Conservative news shows Rasmussen polls are always quoted. These polls are always so in the tank for cons it really silly. If you compare their polls to any other poll out there you will find Rasmussen so far from reality that it's only purpose can be for the righties to continue to delude themselves with the lies spewed forth from Fox news.

Use the link below to compare Rasmussen's results to any other poll, and keep in mind Faux news only uses Rasmussen. I really wonder how Faux news manages to keep their FCC license.

Insurance=Extortion

EXTORTION - The use, or the express or implicit threat of the use, of violence or other criminal means to cause harm to person, reputation, or property as a means to obtain property from someone else with his consent. USC 18

The Hobbs Act defines "extortion" as "the obtaining of property from another, with his consent, induced by wrongful use of actual or threatened force, violence, or fear, or under color of official right." 18 U.S.C. S 1951(b)(2).

INSURANCE - A promise of compensation for specific potential future losses in exchange for a periodic payment. Insurance is designed to protect the financial well-being of an individual, company or other entity in the case of unexpected loss. Some forms of insurance are required by law, (read thugs) while others are optional. Agreeing to the terms of an insurance policy creates a contract between the insured and the insurer. In exchange for payments from the insured (called premiums), the insurer agrees to pay the policy holder a sum of money upon the occurrence of a specific event. In most cases, the policy holder pays part of the loss (called the deductible), and the insurer pays the rest. Examples include car insurance, health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, and business insurance.

There is absolutely no difference between the 2 except that one is legal and the other is (sic) criminal. When you pay that premium you are in fact paying "protection money" Better pay up or sumpin' bad could happen to ya!!

Wars=Taxes

I'll keep today's post short and simple. Nobody likes taxes. But starting 2 wars while simultaneously cutting taxes for the rich is just plain dumb. (Thanks GW)
I heard Sean Insanity of Fix News state yesterday that revenue is increased when taxes are cut. This is like saying 1+2=5. Until the Vietnam war our county always made sacrifices to fund wars. Either thru rationing (sugar , steel ect) or the raising of taxes. Taxes, nobody likes 'em ,so if you want lower taxes - have fewer unnecessary wars. You can check my data from the link at the top of the post. Peace,
The Don

Outsourcing

I often hear folks complain that the immigration issue is one of the reasons our economy is in the toilet. Cheap labor hired by unscrupulous companies keep wages low and jobs unavailable to legal citizens. Some xenophobes speak of building a wall around our borders, or using militia to guard them. But there is a more insidious technique used by companies that no wall or border patrol can stop. All it requires is routing an 800 number to Manila or India or Singapore. It is known as Outsourcing. Outsourcing has caused the loss of more American jobs than all jobs lost to illegal immigration. Companies that thought this would help their bottom line jumped on the Outsourcing bandwagon. For Example: The Sony corporation once based it's technical support call center right here in Ft. Myers, Florida. Now those jobs are in India and Malaysia. Sony just posted it's first loss ever. As more and more consumer companies outsource, consumers are able to buy less and less of their products. Once again the bean counters in an effort to make the stockholders happy have shot themselves in the foot. Until we address this issue and penalize companies that outsource and reward companies that keep jobs in the U.S.
jobs will continue to be lost and wages will stay ridiculously low.
