Florida: A right to work State


Been a while since I posted. I may be losing my Internet access and my Apt.
Unemployment is investigating me because they say they were not informed I was going to school full-time. (They were.)
I am now going though an adjudication process
that has been going on for a month. Meanwhile no payments.
I was advised they would "Send an email to expedite the decision" , and I can expect to wait 2 weeks, and then maybe be told I still have to wait.
There are no jobs. Retraining does not create jobs.
Congress does not want to extend unemployment benefits.
Our leader's obstruct and twiddle their thumbs while the Salvation Army overflows...

Born Again!

O.K. This will blow most everyone's mind. I am a born again Christian. Much of what I have been doing here was all a precursor to my accepting Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I am a recovering..Pot Head. I am approximately 30 days clean and sober. After 32 years of denial, agnosticism and reading so-so many books except the one that really matters, I have turned my life over to Christ. Giving up reefer was easy. Cutting loose 30 year friendships that are bad for me (Including my Mother and Sister) was and is extremely difficult. My new family and friends are at my community church which I will not name till I have permission. This is not something I do lightly. Ironically or perhaps divinely, I was baptised yesterday in of all places the Cape Coral Yacht Club pool. Should all churches be tax exempt?

Despite the name of this blog, I am by no means a bible scholar or theologian. Is Mormonism is a form Christianity and a valid religion? Some would say that all religions are cults. Most evangelicals do not acknowledge the Church of  Latter Day Saints, as they do Judaism or other forms of Christianity. Mormonism seems to me a relatively new schism designed to obscure the finances of a secret society. (You may argue they all are) It has little to do with scripture and the teachings of  Jesus.  The huge churches IMO are an offense to God. Churches should be humble; acquiring  real estate and wealth is  antithetical to Jesus's teachings. The church of LDS holdings are incalculable. It's disgusting.   Churches in our country are tax exempt, but I don't think the church of LDS deserves that exemption. Most churches don't, they are businesses, and should be taxed as such.   Jesus would certainly rebuke todays churches: Luke 18:23 (N.I.V.) "...

Homelessness

The Buzzcocks  - I need It has been a long time since I last posted, Febuary in fact. Things are not going as I had hoped they would. I am currently homeless . It is not what you think. I have met many homeless Veterans. If you saw a pic of any of the people I have met you would never know they were homeless. They are the most positive people I have ever met. Many are suffering from alcohol and other addictions problems. I am not. I have been clean for five years. I need a job.   (Are you listening Mr. President???)  I wish someone (besides me) would write a article about all the formerly middle class Americans that are now homeless as a result of our dying economy. The "experts" are saying the economy is growing again because banks are lending. They have bad data.
