Born Again!

O.K. This will blow most everyone's mind. I am a born again Christian. Much of what I have been doing here was all a precursor to my accepting Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I am a recovering..Pot Head. I am approximately 30 days clean and sober. After 32 years of denial, agnosticism and reading so-so many books except the one that really matters, I have turned my life over to Christ. Giving up reefer was easy. Cutting loose 30 year friendships that are bad for me (Including my Mother and Sister) was and is extremely difficult. My new family and friends are at my community church which I will not name till I have permission. This is not something I do lightly. Ironically or perhaps divinely, I was baptised yesterday in of all places the Cape Coral Yacht Club pool. Ironic because this is where I used to take my cassette case full of nicely rolled joints to "Find the party" Peace out and God Bless.

    Regarding miracles and/or divine intervention.

    To quote John Prine:

    "That's the way that the world goes round. You're up one day, the next you're down. It's a half an inch of water, you think you're gonna drown. That's the way that the world goes round."

    One makes their own destiny and everything is exactly as it should be. We all are and everything is threaded together. One conscience flowing like the river.

Can this woman be any dumber? She is still blaming Kaie Couric for those "Gotcha questions" and after over a year the only things she claims she reads is " Newsmax " , "The Wasilla Times and the WSJ. The accusations she made against Nora and Steve of the McCain campaign have all been refuted. She confused the bank bailouts with the stimulus program . The book is only 415 pages and has only 5 chapters with no index. ( Even her ghostwriter is lazy ) This woman is an on going joke and her supporters are low information voters who don't read either. (I.E Bush supporters) She repeats the same failed idea's of the GOP: Lower taxes lower taxes. That strategy has been disproved . It failed for St. Ronnie (Reagan) and it did not work well for Bush. The problem is corporate tax breaks do not get reinvested; they end up in risky investments and off-shore accounts.

Homelessness

The Buzzcocks  - I need It has been a long time since I last posted, Febuary in fact. Things are not going as I had hoped they would. I am currently homeless . It is not what you think. I have met many homeless Veterans. If you saw a pic of any of the people I have met you would never know they were homeless. They are the most positive people I have ever met. Many are suffering from alcohol and other addictions problems. I am not. I have been clean for five years. I need a job.   (Are you listening Mr. President???)  I wish someone (besides me) would write a article about all the formerly middle class Americans that are now homeless as a result of our dying economy. The "experts" are saying the economy is growing again because banks are lending. They have bad data. They are unaware of how many people are living off the grid.  For the first few days at the Triage low demand homeless shelter I slept on a cot. I had access to bad food and a shower and slept with a bunch
