I do not want to blog about KO today. The greatest movie I never wanted to watch is "Fight Club". When it came out it looked like a steroid and testosterone, underground boxing movie. Well it sorta is, but it is so much more. Little did I know it was one of the greatest counter culture, zen, philosophical movies about transforming your life EVER. Having gone through such a transformation a few years earlier, I really related to the movie,  I just watched the movie again recently. I was reading the old testament today and thought this passage applied to the G.O.P. who got their huge unjustified tax cuts and now seek to repeal HCR. Proof again the the Christian Right DOES NOT KNOW NOR FOLLOW SCRIPTURE. I received this email from Former Congressmen Alan Grayson. He is missed, as one of the only Dems with any balls. On twitter and to my face I have been called a homosexual, a loser, a scumbag, a commie, a socialist, a treehugger, and my favorite: A dirty fucking hippie. As if any of these slurs bothers me. They don't. In fact the last one I wear as a badge of honor. Because we were right. Peace and Love. I don't know who made this video, but may God bless you. It was in response to the Team Palin statement that the cross hairs on Sarah Palin's map , were surveyor symbols when her own tweets refered to them as targets . Congresswoman Gifford spoke out about these crosshairs after the healthcare vote, when her offices were vandalized. Whoopi Goldberg warned that what ever happened as a result of this map would be on the G.O.P.'s hands. The "don't retreat, reload" rhetoric. Yesterday the Blood Libel thing, (Sarah claims attacks from the left are a blood libel) when Congresswoman Gifford is Jewish . I pray for this woman that she will get off facebook and twitter and read the Word of God she claims to worship. Earlier in the week Barbara Walters said she felt sorry for Sarah Palin. It is my firm belief that Christian Conservatives, have neither read the bible nor know Jesus. (Ayn Rand yes, Jesus, not so much.) I could point to scriptural verse after verse showing how God and Jesus feel about the greedy. Stephen Colbert and Merle Haggard (covering Woody Guthrie) will explain. I'm an old white rocker from the 'burbs of NJ. Tony Soprano country. My Mom and siblings are Brooklynites, Dad's side from Long Island. Me, the baby was raised in suburbia. I like Snoop even though I've never been to Cali let alone Compton. But I could understand him and he used to sample Funkadelic and Parliament who I love. But I couldn't relate. There was no message for me . Raps about guns, pimping, and gangsterism, (despite my being Sicilian), had no meaning for me. I was not raised on the mean streets. Well 2010 is over, and I say good riddance. Sadly 2010 was NOT they year we made contact. 2010 was the year I spent busting my ass in school at age 49 to get a 100%. In a field with no jobs, I have had one interview in a year. So fuck 2010. As we look to the future, we ponder the past year. Arthur C. Clark got it wrong.
